Welcome to Neighbor. By downloading or using the Neighbor app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. What Neighbor Is
Neighbor is a hyperlocal app that lets people share what's happening around them in real time — street musicians, pickup games, block parties, acts of kindness, and other spontaneous moments. Posts are pinned to a live map visible to nearby users.

2. Your Account
You must be 13 or older to use Neighbor. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything posted from your account. Don't share your login credentials.

3. What You Can Post
Neighbor is built for positive, real-time happenings. You agree not to post content that is:

Illegal, threatening, or harassing
Sexually explicit or involving minors
Deliberately false or misleading
Spam, ads, or commercial solicitation
Designed to invade someone's privacy
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly do so.

4. Content Moderation
Neighbor uses a combination of user flagging and automated AI review to moderate content. Posts flagged by multiple users may be reviewed and removed. We use third-party AI tools (including Anthropic's Claude) to assist with photo review. We are not liable for content posted by users.

5. Your Content
You own what you post. By posting on Neighbor, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content within the app. We don't sell your content or use it for advertising.

6. Location Data
Neighbor uses your location to pin posts on the map and to send you notifications about nearby events. We store your approximate location to power these features. See our Privacy Policy for details on how location data is handled.

7. Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, you may receive alerts about live events happening near you. You can adjust your notification radius or disable notifications at any time in the app or in your device settings.

8. Availability
We do our best to keep Neighbor running but can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change, pause, or shut down features at any time without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability
Neighbor is provided "as is." We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including content posted by other users. Use your judgment — posts describe real-time situations reported by strangers.

10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
